At PS Engineering we adhere to strict standards of quality control. We document every component on a digital internal ISO system. On each component, a thorough pre-inspection and report is generated. Before a part is signed off and packaged, a final inspection is carried out.
In order to ensure accuracy, we calibrate and keep our measuring equipment in a temperature-controlled environment. Amongst our measuring equipment, we have micrometers, depth gauges, film thickness testers, surface roughness testers and hardness testers. We also have a perfectly square granite surface inspection table to measure components on.
Excellent quality control helps companies meet the demands for superior products. It involves testing and determining if units meet certain specifications of a final product. If a company distributes defective products, it could result in injuries or certain issues, which the company will be held liable for. It can also cause products to be more costly and time-consuming than they need to be. Inspectors are there to ensure that the distribution of defective products are corrected and eliminated.
In each step of a manufacturing process, quality testing is done. It often begins with the quality testing of the raw materials being used. Then taking samples from each step in the process and testing up until the final product. This way, any issues in the future with the final product can be correct, eliminating unsafe and costly products.
